Fish Fight

Depicted in this illustration are two vivacious betta fish. One is black carrying strands of deep-blue hue of generational trauma. One is yellow carrying strings and specks of quiet orange of deafening erasure. Two fish could not be more different. Yet their feathertail and over-halfmoon mesmerise all the same. They are naturally territorial. When pit together by a pale porcelain hand, they engage in fierce combat. The water is scarlet. Stained by bloodshed.
