Life in Elevation: A Series

Before March 20th of 2020, life in New York City was in constant motion. The city bustled as folks hustled. And then COVID-19 hit and everything came to a grinding halt. Like many others in the past six months, I spent all of my waking moments inside, doing my part, and hoping to roam my beautiful city in jubilance. As each day passed, my yearning for a sense of normalcy grew. To cope, I leaned on my doodles and a heavy dose of nostalgia. ‘Life in Elevation’, born in the time of social distance and face covering, captures New York city’s multi-dimensionality through the nostalgic depiction of the many ordinarily extraordinary places and spaces.
